Hand finished ladies' late-18th to early 19th Century cap. This cap has a wide caul and works very well with short hair. Lovely under a market bonnet or straw hat. Ruffles are finished with historically accurate rolled hems. Appropriate for Colonial, Georgian, or Regency periods. This cap is not adjustable and can be made to size. Average caul diameter is 22-1/2" to 23". Typically made of linen or organdy. Can also be made from cotton or silk (inquire about price). Proprietary (Copyright 2018) pattern and cap developed by me from ca. 1784 portrait of "Marie Angelique."
